Success Habits – Simple As Brushing Your Teeth
Twice per day, do you contemplate whether or not you should brush your teeth? No, of course not. At some point you learned that those who are successful in not getting cavities, brush twice per day. Your parents most likely taught you a habit and you reinforced it as you grew up and came to understand the value of that behavior. You have Success Habits related to good oral hygiene.
Successful people and leaders in your industry also have habits that they do daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly. They don’t decide every day whether these activities – these habits – are what they should be doing . They just do them because they ALREADY KNOW the results. And they also know that NOT doing them is a step AWAY from their success.
Success Habits are those activities that are already proven to lead to good results. Success Habits are behaviors you automatically do because someone has taught you or you have learned through research, that these behaviors lead to the end result you desire. Successful people know that you must find mentors and leaders to emulate. You take time to see what it is they do every day, every week, every month, every year and you then do those things too.
Knowing all this, why is it that Success Habits are so hard for so many?
If you know that making calls for 2 hours every day will yield 2-3 good people interested in your business, why would you even consider not making those calls? Why not just have a Success Habit?
Many companies offer yearly or quarterly events. If you know that all the successful leaders in your company never miss an event, why wouldn’t you start planning to attend as soon as the date was announed? By this I mean a real plan – hotel booked, airline booked and both paid for.
