Integrity in Thought Creates Prosperity in Action

Choose Your Path Wisely

Fifteen years ago I packed up my little red Acura Integra with my favorite books, my camping gear, mountain bike and few pairs of skis and headed to the Rocky Mountains. My goal was to visit many different small resort towns in Colorado, New Mexico and Utah and decide where I wanted to live next. I had a checklist of the items that comprised my perfect town. The plan was to visit and stay long enough in each location to be able to work through the checklist and determine if this was the place for me to live.

Rules For Humans

Learn from these or not!
(Written by Neil Rosenthal in Denver Post Magazine, March 12, 1995)

1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but is will be yours for the entire period of this time around.

2. You will need lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called life. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant or stupid.

3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial and error, of experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiment that eventually “works”.

4. A lesson is repeated until learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can then go on to the next lesson.

5. Learning lessons does not end. There is no part of life that does not contain its lesson. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned.

6. “There” is no better than “here. When your “there” has become a “here” you will simply obtain another “there” that will look better than “here”.

7. Others are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects something you love or hate about yourself.

8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you ;need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.

9. The answers to life’s questions lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen and trust.

10. You can forget all this.

11. You can remember it whenever you want.

Nuts and Bolts of Making REAL Money in Your Network Marketing Business

This is a recorded training session done for my team. Why it’s beneficial to you, is that most of the information is totally generic. You can take the message, the insights and the suggestions and apply them to any network marketing business there is.  You’ll take away some great information on how to grow any downline easily. Even yours.

How To Grow Your Downline Easily

Once Upon A Time in Network Marketing………………..

Once upon a time there was a profession called network marketing (or multi-level-marketing/MLM). There were many who learned well how to succeed in MLM and they taught their team how to succeed as well and thus made money. The basic teachings asserted that most network marketing products be sold through face-to-face contacts and home gatherings. At the beginning of the network marketing industry, about 70 years ago, the ideas was as simple as selling good products person-to-person using word of mouth. If people loved the products, they were taught how to sell them as well. In this way people were able to receive their products for free and make money….sometimes a lot of money.

But over time it became evident that only a small percentage of people were actually making good money. Read more

How You Can Crush It Like Gary Vaynerchuk

This guy has totally “got it“.  And the amazing thing is that you can “get it” too if you take the time to learn what “it” is ! “It” is personal branding to the max! It is understanding that social media is a conversation  in which you need to listen and listen hard. Hear what your audience is looking for and turn around and give it to them. It’s not about you…yet it’s totally about you.

What did she just say????

Personal Branding is about creating yourself in a genuine manner in a way that people can grasp onto, enjoy, learn from and be entertained by. At the same time, you are taking in the needs and desires of your people, of your audience and truly caring about what they want. If what you give back to them is real..based on true passion and honest caring about those with whom you interact, they will know. And they will love it.

Start by reassessing how you interact on the social media you now use. Are you a value based, content sharing, go-giver..or do you tend to pitch and sell? That’s  pretty basic.  So let’s go deeper.  When you jump on Facebook or Twitter or wherever else you often jump, are you mostly just adding your own posts and tweets or are you looking around at other’s in an attempt to engage in a conversation? Remember, you do best if you understand the want and needs of your audience. What better way to know what that is, than by seeing what they are talking about?

OK, so then what? Then you jump in with both feet and start engaging, being in a heart space inside yourself where you are truly interested in those you are interacting with..not just playing the game.  There’s an old adage that people are interested in people who are interested in them.  Give first and once someone feels heard and appreciated they’ll naturally take the time to see what you’re all about.

This is where your personal brand is seen. They come looking for more information about you, and you’ve got a lot to show them. There is no “right way” to be. For the right way, is to be yourself with as much honesty and integrity as you can. At the same time, as any good copywriter will tell you, boring is bad.   Give your audience anything other than boring and you’ve got a good chance to engage them. Be funny if that’s your nature. Share really useful information in an area that is YOUR passion. Keep them coming back for more by alluding to what you are going to share and teach them about tomorrow.

crush itHey..I’m not here to give you the Cliff Notes version of Crush It…just here to get you started thinking about your Personal Brandingg and letting you know that anyone can Crush It, with the right mind-set and some good initial direction.

What is Social Media?

Social media is a large group of tools and applications available on the internet that allow you to interact “socially” with a very large diverse group of people.
According to Wikipedia, ” Social media are primarily Internet- and mobile-based tools for sharing and discussing information among human beings.[1] The term most often refers to activities that integrate technology, telecommunications and social interaction, and the construction of words, pictures, videos and audio. This interaction, and the manner in which information is presented, depends on the varied perspectives and “building” of shared meaning among communities, as people share their stories and experiences. Businesses also refer to social media as user-generated content (UGC) or consumer-generated media (CGM).”social-media

This is a True Success Story

This is a true Success Story:

When I was a new to network marketing I did what I was told to do by my upline. I contacted everyone I knew. I talked to anyone I met in the grocery store or the doctor’s waiting room. When I would get someone’s attention I became relentless–calling them , inviting them to meetings, checking to see if they had: read the magazine, listened to the DVD, consumed the samples, gotten on the conference calls, etc…And yes, some of the people who I hounded did join my organization and even made a go of creating an MLM income. But they were not able to duplicate what I had done with them. They did not have the tenacity of a pit bull and at the time that’s the method that I was told to teach them.

Fast forward a few years. It has been a long time since I have gone after a potential prospect. I still talk to people I meet if it seems appropriate in the situation, but after the first or second contact we only talk again if they make the effort. Most people in my organization have asked to be there. They have sought me out and asked to work with me. Recently I have been asked to be the first distributor in a wonderful new company. If you’ve been in network marketing long enough, you know that this is a coveted position.

So what happened in the intervening years?

Scarcity Mentality and the Autoship Myth

Would you ever start a clothing business, but put no clothing on the racks until a customer came in and purchased something based on your verbal description?

Or what about a new food shop…that offers pictures of all kinds of yummy fruit that you can order, but can’t actually see, touch or smell before hand because the shop can’t stock any food until they sell some?

Can you imagine a doctor or chiropractor setting up an office, but not having any exam tables or medical tools because they are waiting to purchase them until after they have a few patients?
